This week we delivered the winning Spring Giveaway heartCHARM to the beautiful and very excited Virginie who personalised it with lime-purple-grey and a message of peace - love it!
Everybody deserves a second chance and we at woodYOU took the liberty to extend this philosophy to our raw materials!
Not only do we give another chance to random pieces of wood but we also try to collect unwanted ‘jewels’ from family and friends. We recently got a bagful of coloured goodies from Chris’ Nanna Zarena …we gave them a quick shower and left them soaking up the Sunday sun –lucky them!…They will hopefully be hanging on your bags soon =)
We’re also keeping all unwanted brown paper packaging from parcels we receive. We then use organic glue and transform them into cosy temporary homes for our charms …they also make great gift-wraps!
We also intend to add some colour by using pigments from fruit and veggies but we’ll tell you more about this some other time.
Point is we love life and whenever possible we will try to respect Mother Nature by doing our fair share of green goodness! We also want to give you the chance of extending the life of a used button or some transformed discarded firewood.
It’s a bit like the ugly duckling …only this time it’s with wood, buttons, envelopes and other random bits and bobs!
